PHOENIX — A man has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Phoenix police said officers found him with multiple gunshot wounds inside his vehicle early Monday morning.
Phoenix police said officers responded to reports of a shooting near 36th Street and McDowell Road. Officers soon located a 25-year-old man with gunshot wounds inside his vehicle who was then transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
According to police, officers learned the victim had allegedly met with unknown suspects in the area of 7th Avenue and McDowell Road. As the victim tried to exit his vehicle, the suspects quickly shot him, according to police.
The victim was able to get back inside his vehicle and drove himself to 36th Street where officers were able to locate him, police said.
Authorities said no suspect information is available at this time
