Phoenix Police Chief Joseph Yahner will provide an update on the officer shot in the line of duty on Wednesday.

The shooting happened at a home near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road in Laveen. Police said the officer was taken to St. Joe's Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
The suspect, who has not been identified, is dead.
