PHOENIX — Have you ever wondered what it takes to deliver “earth’s biggest selection” in days — or hours — to your front door? Amazon is offering free tours inside one of its Valley fulfillment centers.

Amazon has 175 fulfillment centers worldwide, including four in the Valley, and nearly two dozen fulfillment centers across the country are now doing public tours.

The Phoenix center offered tours on a “limited basis” prior to this year. Now they're taking place twice a day during the workweek.

Spokeswoman Lisa Guinn said the company expanded its tour program this year because of customer demand.

“So many people want to see the magic that happens when you click ‘buy’ on Amazon,” she said.

The warehouse, near 51st Avenue and Buckeye Road in Phoenix, is 1.2 million square feet — the size of 27 football fields — and houses enough products to give every Phoenix resident ten items.

Guinn took ABC15 on a tour through the Phoenix warehouse, which specializes in storing and sending out small- to medium-sized products.

Tours are offered at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more information, click here.
