FREE pet adoptions this weekend in the Valley

PHOENIX — Find your new best friend, save money and help other animals in need? You can do it all this weekend with a free adoption event at several Valley animal shelters.

The Bissell Pet Foundation is sponsoring free pet adoptions at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control and Arizona Humane Society on Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13.

Free adoptions include license, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries and a microchip.

Puppies and kittens are included in the waived adoption special, but some "Shelter Super Heroes" will not be part of the deal.

West Shelter: 27th Avenue and Durango, Phoenix
East Shelter: Rio Salado Parkway and Loop 101, Mesa
Open Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., open Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Arizona Humane Society

All pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered and current on all vaccinations. Adoptions also include a bag of Hill’s Science Diet food and a free follow-up veterinary exam with VCA Animal Hospitals.

All four locations will be participating in the adoption special, including Arrowhead's PetSmart store.
