PHOENIX — A motorcyclist has died following a fiery crash on McDowell Road near I-17, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the crash occurred at I-17 southbound near McDowell Road around 12:30 a.m.

Police say a vehicle was traveling southbound on 23rd Avenue when the motorcyclist, who is only being identified as an adult male, failed to stop at a red light on McDowell Road.
The motorcyclist hit another vehicle and burst into flames on impact, police say.
Two passengers in the other vehicle were removed safely from the vehicle and were not seriously injured, Phoenix police tell ABC15.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
