A man has died after being hit by a city bus in downtown Phoenix.
Phoenix police say the Rapid bus, operated by the City of Phoenix, was turning to go south on 1st Avenue from westbound Van Buren Street when it hit 34-year-old Henry Rodriguez.
Police said Rodriguez was crossing in the crosswalk but against the 'do not walk' signal.
Rodriguez was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
A marked police cruiser was behind the bus and called in immediately after the crash happened, police said.
Phoenix police said the crash remains under investigation.
