PHOENIX, AZ — A 10-year-old child was taken to the hospital after a car and motorcycle collided in north Phoenix Wednesday night.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. near 19th Avenue and Bell Road.
Phoenix firefighters say the child was on the back of the motorcycle and suffered a leg injury. The adult who was in control of the bike was evaluated at the scene. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Phoenix police say both riders were wearing helmets when the accident happened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The victims are not being identified at this time.
