PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a deadly crash that happened Thursday morning.
Police say the crash, involving a semi-truck and an SUV, happened around 6 a.m. near 27th Avenue and McDowell Road.
Video from the scene shows the SUV pinned underneath the semi-truck.
It's unclear what caused the crash or if anyone else was injured. Police haven't identified the person killed in the crash but did say it was an adult killed while driving the SUV.
Police say to expect closures in the area for several hours as they investigate.
