Starting December 28, Banner Health will be implementing visitor restrictions to prevent the spread of influenza.

The restrictions include:

  • Do not visit the hospital if you have a fever, cough, are vomiting or have diarrhea.
  • No visitors under the age of 13. Siblings who are healthy may visit a new baby in the Obstetrics Unit at all facilities other than Banner University Medical Center.
  • Children under 12 must be supervised at all times in public areas and cafeterias
  • Wash and sanitize hands frequently

All Banner medical centers will be participating in the restrictions. Doctors, staff, volunteers and students at the medical centers have all received a flu vaccination before December.

If you have yet to get vaccinated for seasonal illnesses, keep in mind that it takes two weeks for a vaccination to fully set in.
