PHOENIX — Wondering how your child's school stacks up when it comes to the well-known AzMERIT test?
The Arizona Department of Education has released 2018-2019 results from the AzMERIT test and the results are mixed.
The test is broken into two categories: English and math.
For a student to be considered "passing" by the State Board of Education, a student must receive a "proficient" or "highly proficient" result from the AzMERIT test.
More than half of Arizona students failed the english language and math portions of the test.
However, the scores are still a slight improvement from over a year ago, and scores are better in 13 of the 22 grade-level and test categories.
