Sweet Abuelito is a 10-year-old brown tabby that was brought to the Arizona Humane Society by a Good Samaritan a little over a month ago when he was found matted, malnourished and lethargic. The senior kitty has arthritis, as well as early signs of Renal Failure (a non-painful condition), both of which he can have a good quality of life with but will require lifelong supportive care from his future forever family. Although he has a few medical conditions, Abuelito (meaning grandpa in Spanish) still has a wonderful quality of life and is an absolute sweetheart to everyone he meets. Abuelito’s adoption fee is waived in the hopes that someone will give him the loving and caring home he deserves for the rest of his golden years. Marigold came to AHS after a Good Samaritan found her as an injured stray and took her a local emergency animal clinic and transferred to AHS' trauma hospital. The 8-year-old dog was struggling to walk, had wounds on her neck, had an umbilical hernia, and was very stressed. For more than three weeks, the veterinary staff at AHS' Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ nursed her back to health, hoping her owner would come forward. Sadly, Marigold's former owner was never found. Now she's searching for a new family to love. Adoptions are available at AHS' Campus for Compassion location by appointment only (this is the only adoption location open right now), and you can schedule at www.azhumane.org/adopt.
