If you’re looking for a pet who loves to lay by your side and give you adorable head tilts, the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) may have just the perfect guy for you. Takoda is a two-year-old German Shepherd who has a unique way of forming special bonds with the people he meets. Brought into the care of AHS after his previous owner felt they couldn’t trust him around feline roommates, staff and volunteers have been looking over him ever since and getting to know him better by the day. Like most German Shepherds, Takoda is a big dude so there’s a lot of him to love. He would do best in a home with caretakers who had lots of time to spend with him and a big yard he can burn up energy in (fetch is his favorite game of all). But after he’s exhausted himself chasing and chewing up tennis balls, you can tell that there’s nothing Takoda likes more than laying nearby those he loves the most and catching up on rest as much as possible. Come see the cute ears everybody keeps talking about in person at the Campus for Compassion, and see if you might be the one to give Takoda the home he truly deserves.
