Adoptable pets from Arizona Humane Society and Maricopa County Animal Care (11/13/19)
In celebration of National Senior Pet Month, the Arizona Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats six years and older at all locations. This includes this fantastic canine named Prince! It’s hard for some to believe, but this eight-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier really is as sweet as he looks. It’s especially surprising given all he’s been through these past few months. When he was first brought into our care, Prince had a mass that needed to be removed as well as several wounds to his head and limbs. One of these limbs (his left front leg) would require surgery and amputation in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, but Prince has been resting comfortably ever since and getting better and more used to his circumstances by the day. The staff and volunteers here love Prince, and it doesn’t take long to see why. He is extremely affectionate and loves to give love as much as he enjoys receiving it. He’s also very active and it sometimes takes people a moment to realize he doesn’t have all four of his legs.
