At least four people, including two children, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 on Saturday, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Officials said the crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the interstate around 5:45 p.m. A 45-year-old woman had to be extricated and was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Three other people, including a 4-year-old and an 11-year-old, were also taken to the hospital.
Several lanes remain closed while DPS investigates the crash. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
