5 December cold cases yet to be solved in the Valley

PHOENIX — Police are still searching for answers after a pregnant woman and her friend were found dead, a man disappeared from his birthday party and a body was found along a Scottsdale-area roadway.

The following five cold cases occurred in various years during the month of December. Please contact authorities if you have any information that could help solve them.

Murders of Nicole Glass and Melissa Mason: December 2010

Nicole Glass and Melissa Mason were found dead around noon on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in their home near 40th Street and Thomas.

Glass and Mason lived together, and Mason was pregnant at the time, according to police.

It's believed that the homicides occurred the night before they were found, after 8 p.m., or that morning. Police say there was no evidence of forced entry into their home.

Friends and family have held annual vigils since their deaths asking the community to come forward with information to help solve the crime.

Silent Witness is offering a $9,000 reward for information about the case.

Disappearance and murder of Lisa Zochowski: December 1990

Lisa Renee Zochowski was last seen in Phoenix on Dec. 27, 1990 with her estranged husband Marek.

Police say she left her two kids with a family member and planned to go shopping with Marek before picking them up again. However, she was never seen alive after that.

In 1998, Marek was convicted and sentenced in connection to Zochowski's homicide, but her body was not found.

Disappearance of Rickie Ricardo Outlaw: December 2010

Rickie Ricardo Outlaw was last seen leaving his birthday party around noon on Dec. 1, 2010.

The 55-year-old man reportedly left the area of 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, and was not heard from since.

Police say he has a tattoo on his upper left arm, left wrist, right arm, and a scar on his left elbow. He had no teeth or dentures at the time of his disappearance.

Death of Pedro Acosta: December 2005

Pedro Machado Acosta was 20 years old when he was found dead behind the wheel of his car on Dec. 18, 2005.

Police say someone called 911 to report Acosta's vehicle had crashed into a home near 36th Avenue and Mariposa Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Acosta in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No suspects were identified in the case.

Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information.

Death of Jorge Quesada: December 1996

On Dec. 15, 1996, a member of a filming crew found a body in the Scottsdale area, along Rio Verde Drive near 141st Street.

Scottsdale police say the man's body was identified as that of Jorge Quesada. He had reportedly suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

His death is considered a cold case. according to Scottsdale police.
