Authorities said Thursday night that a double murder suspect is back in Arizona after his extradition from Michigan.

Charges for Montez Lavell Wright III include two counts of first degree murder and two counts of armed robbery in connection with the early February deaths of 70-year-old Barbara Leslie and 75-year-old Ruth Schwed, according to Surprise police.

The two women were found dead inside Leslie's home.

Another suspect, Andrew Lauro, was previously taken into custody.

Lauro and Wright went into Leslie's home near Reems and Bell roads because the garage door was open, police said.

One of the victims was shot while she was reading the newspaper, the other as she walked in the home's living room, police said.
