KINGMAN, AZ — A wrong-way driver was taken into custody after crashing into a tanker truck near Kingman overnight.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the crash occurred along US-93 near milepost 109, which is between Kingman and Wikieup.
The wrong-way driver was reportedly traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it encountered a tanker truck. The tanker swerved away from the wrong-way driver, but the vehicle struck the back of the tanker.
Fortunately, no major injuries were reported.
DPS says the driver of the wrong-way vehicle was taken into custody for impairment.
