Two Prescott residents wanted in a fraud case are in custody in Oregon.

Prescott police say 33-year-old Johnnie Applegate and 26-year-old Danielle Detmer are awaiting extradition to Arizona.

Police began an investigation into fraudulent activity involving the two in June.

They say Applegate and Detmer allegedly obtained credit card numbers from various sources and produced fake credit cards that they used around Yavapai County.

After authorities learned Applegate and Detmer were in Oregon, warrants were issued for their arrest.

Portland police helped arrest the two on Sept. 3.

Applegate is being held on 32 charges including suspicion of theft, forgery, theft of means of transportation and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Detmer is being held on 12 charges including suspicion of forgery, identity theft and possession of stolen property.
