The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says they saw just under an inch of snow overnight into Sunday morning, and much more fell as the day wore on.

Snow fell consistently from Sunday afternoon through the evening hours, often posing a problem for drivers on the slick roadways.

The Arizona Department of Transportation asks that drivers slow down and leave extra room between cars while traveling in northern Arizona, and to watch for black ice.

Forecasters say the period of heaviest snow is forecast from late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
