When it comes to chicken salad, how much of a fan are you?
If you answered, “super fan,” than you’ll be quite interested in a new restaurant that is going to hatch very soon in the Valley.
It’s called "The Chicken Scoop" and the restaurant’s tagline is “chicken salad with a twist.”
They’re not joking. According to the menu posted on their Facebook page, the eatery is putting all of its eggs in one basket offering guests 14 combinations of chicken salad.
And the flavor combinations range from traditional to spicy to sweet.
The Original seems to be your typical chicken salad with all-white meat chicken, mayo, minced celery and seasoning.
If you like things hot you could try The Curry—raisins, almonds, curry seasoning—or the Spicy Thai, cashews, green onion and spicy Thai peanut sauce.
Like things sweet? There’s The BBQ which is bacon, cheddar and barbecue sauce or The Sweet Berry, which has cranberries and pecans.
There’s a couple different ways to order.
- By the scoop: single, double, triples. Each is served with crackers and a side.
- The Scoopwich: a single scoop served on bread, croissant or spinach wrap and served with a side.
- The Garden Scoop: single scoop served on greens.
It'll be located near Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. It will open on July 14.
