Authorities have arrested a woman for kidnapping a 4-year-old boy Thursday afternoon.

Police say 30-year-old Tiffany Baginski lured the child outside his home near 64th Street and Thomas Road.

The child's caregiver was in another room and called 911 after realizing the child was missing. The child was playing in the front room of an apartment with a closed screen door.

The caregiver told officers she heard a female voice coming from the front of the apartment. When she went to check, the screen door was open and the child was gone.

Police locked down the streets and started checking vehicles attempting to leave the scene, according to a news release from the Scottsdale Police Department.

An officer spotted the child walking with Baginski in an alley off of 68th Street north of Thomas about 30 minutes later. Baginski was arrested and the child was returned to his family.

According to court paperwork, police say there is evidence the child may have been sexually abused by Baginski or her boyfriend.

Police said there is no previous connection between Baginski and the child and said she faces kidnapping and custodial interference charges.
