A wrong-way driver suspected of being impaired and a passenger were arrested Friday in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale Police spokesman Sgt. Ben Hoster said the motorist was driving and struck something, possibly a tree, within the City of Phoenix, but continued on into Scottsdale.
The driver was stopped by officers on Indian School Road and arrested for suspected DUI. A passenger was also arrested suspected of extreme alcohol consumption, he said.
No other details were released.
