A suspect has been taken into custody after a barricade situation in Scottsdale on Friday morning.

The incident happened at a restaurant under renovation at Marshall Way and Indian School Road just after 2:30 a.m.

Scottsdale police said officers responded to the area after 39-year-old Brian Holm reportedly hit a subject with a baseball bat. When officers arrived on the scene, Holm barricaded himself inside a building.

Once inside, Holm refused commands to leave the building and the SWAT team was called to the scene.

At 6:15 a.m., the suspect was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
