SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Five people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in north Scottsdale early Monday morning.
Scottsdale Fire Department officials say they responded to the crash near Happy Valley and Pima roads around 3 a.m.
Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment, including two people in critical condition.
Crews had to do an "extensive extrication" in order to get one of the patients from a vehicle.
The cause the crash has not been determined.
