A popular Scottsdale hotel is getting a multi-million dollar makeover.

Chaparral Suites will become Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale, transforming the hotel into a resort under the Embassy Suites flag, according a news release.

Snyder Nationwide Real Estate, Inc., the owner of the property, is pouring $22 million into the project at the corner of Scottsdale and Chaparral roads.

"We're going all out to make a huge impact on visitors from around the U.S. as well as residents in the Scottsdale area," said Mark Snyder, owner of Embassy Suites by Hilton Resort Scottsdale. "We're renovating every guestroom, the exterior, the lobby, the pools, and the grounds."

Snyder said the upgrades will create an "authentic Scottsdale experience" within minutes of the downtown area.

The renovation spans 15 acres, and the hotel will remain open during the renovation.

Completion is expected in Spring 2016.
