The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a 15-year-old girl.

Sheriff's deputies say Kahlan Diehl was last seen around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at her home in Anthem.

Her family said she went to take out the garbage and when her sister walked outside a minute later, she found the trash had been left on top of the dumpster and Kahlan was missing.

Kahlan's family and sheriff's deputies conducted a thorough search of her home and the surrounding neighborhood, but were unable to locate the 15-year-old girl.

Kahlan is described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Her right nostril is pierced, she has brown shoulder-length hair, scarring on both arms and a heart tattooed on her left hand.

She was last seen wearing a black sports bra, a gray t-shirt, gray sweatpants and white Converse tennis shoes. Kahlan may also have a gray purse with her.

Authorities say the teen is new to Anthem but does have friends in the Deer Valley High School area.

If you have any information or know her whereabouts, please contact MCSO at 602-876-1011 or 602-876- TIPS (8477).
