TUCSON, AZ — A 17-year-old was arrested Thursday in connection to the death of a UArizona student that happened over the weekend.

The Tucson Police Department said with the help of University of Arizona police, detectives identified and arrested 17-year-old Alonzo Orosco in connection to the deadly shooting of 20-year-old Forrest Keys.

On Feb. 20, officers responded to the Cherry Avenue Parking Garage around 11 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

TPD says Keys was walking home when a red or maroon Cadillac sedan passed by him. An argument broke out between Keys and Orosco and shortly after that shots were fired.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Keys with a gunshot wound. Keys was treated on scene but did not survive.

Orosco was booked into Pima County Jail faces charges of first-degree murder and drive-by shooting.
