A Tucson man is accused of sexually assaulting a female driver for Uber, a ride-hailing service.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department says detectives arrested 31-year-old Chris Thomas Gomez Wednesday and that he was jailed on one count of sexual assault.

According to the Sheriff's Department, the driver told deputies that she was sexually assaulted by a male customer whom she had picked up and taken to his destination Saturday morning.

It could not be immediately determined whether Gomez has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
