Tucson police say they have arrested a suspect suspected of shooting and injuring a man near a mall on the city's east side.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that Robert Steven Balderrama turned himself in to police Saturday. The 19-year-old faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with serious physical injury.
Sgt. Pete Dugan says the victim and the suspect had been involved in a verbal dispute near the Park Place mall before shots were fired.
Dugan says the victim remains hospitalized with injuries that are not life threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
