Southbound lanes of I-17 north of the Valley were shut down after a deadly rollover crash.
Troopers responded to milepost 242, north of Rock Springs, just after 9 a.m. to find two vehicles on their roofs.
Officials said Charles Kenney, 55, from Mayer was driving a Suzuki car when he drove into a median for unknown reasons. The Suzuki then exited the median and went into the southbound lanes where the man's vehicle was struck by a Toyota pickup. Bryan Stewart, 42, from Phoenix was behind the wheel when his pickup rolled over.
Kenney died at the scene, officials said. Stewart was taken to a hospital. Both men were wearing their seatbelts.
