Pinal Co. asking for help in frontage road crash

Pinal County deputies are hoping the public can help them identify a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash from over the weekend.

Authorities aren't exactly sure when the crash happened, but said it occurred between 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators said a man was walking south in the traffic lane of E. Camino Adelante, which follows Interstate 10, about one mile north of the Picacho Peak Road intersection.

The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle traveling south "at a high rate of speed," according to the sheriff's office.

Officials did not have a vehicle description, but said it would have extensive damage to the front center and possibly a broken windshield.
