Operation Southern Star V helps to catch 80 fugitives in Southern Arizona

The United States Marshals Service assisted in arresting 80 fugitives with felony warrants for violent crime and drug offenses.

The operation took place September 12th through 16th and was named Operation Southern Star V.

USMS worked with Arizona Wanted Violent Offender Task Force to catch those with a felony warrant with the goal of reducing crime in Pima, Graham, and Cochise Counties.

“Operation Southern Star is another example of our continued focus on the apprehension of violent fugitives as a means of protecting our communities. This operation further displays our commitment to building strong, effective relationships with our state and local law enforcement partners throughout Arizona.” Said David P. Gonzales, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona.

Operation Southern Star arrested 80 fugitives while clearing 80 warrants. Offense has been broken down into the following:
