One person is dead after a crash involving a tractor trailer along SR-87 early Thursday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, just before 4 a.m. a passenger car and tractor trailer crashed in the southbound lanes near the SR-287 junction.
DPS said the passenger car and truck collided after the car did not stop at the stop sign.
The driver of the passenger car was killed in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours but has since reopened.
