A woman accused of helping her two children and another person evade Phoenix police in the slayings of two Burmese refugees has been caught.

The U.S. Marshals Service says 43-year-old Lovonne De La Luz-Ruiz was arrested in Nogales, Arizona on Saturday immediately after being deported from Mexico.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Amelia Swenhaugen in Phoenix says Mexican authorities located De La Luz-Ruiz, a U.S. citizen, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

She is in Santa Cruz County Jail awaiting transport back to Phoenix to face one count of hindering prosecution.

Authorities allege De La Luz-Ruiz hid her kids, Daniela and Michael Stone, and Cassandra Devore in Mexico.

All three were extradited in the April 2013 stabbing deaths of 54-year-old Ker Reh and 24-year-old Kay Reh at a Phoenix apartment complex.
