CASA GRANDE, AZ — Police are investigating a wrong-way crash that happened in Casa Grande early Wednesday morning.
The Casa Grande Police Department says the crash happened on Pinal Avenue near Rodeo Road around 3:40 a.m.
The two drivers involved were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Neither driver had passengers in their vehicles.
Casa Grande officials say 28-year-old Bianca Canastillo from Casa Grande was identified as the wrong-way driver.
The other driver, a 34-year-old man, was also from Casa Grande.
The condition of both drivers was not known on Thursday morning.
Canastillo reportedly had a "high blood alcohol content" at the time of the crash and is facing charges of DUI, aggravated assault and wrong-way driving.
