PHOENIX — From the restaurant industry to the healthcare field, some businesses here in the Valley are rebounding amid the pandemic and now they are looking to hire as soon as possible.

"Week over week over week we continue to increase our sales," Fred Morgan said.

He is the co-owner of Fired Pie with more than 20 locations across the Valley and they need to fill 40 - 50 positions.

"You come through... you build your own pizza," Morgan said, explaining the restaurant's concept. "You pick your own crust. You pick your own sauce... your own cheeses."

If a prospective employee brings the heat with their personality, Morgan said they could train someone on the rest.

The Rebound Arizona asked Morgan what job-seekers should highlight on their resume to stand-out.

"So, anything... if they've worked at any kind of fast-casual, fast food... would be helpful," Morgan said. "Hospitality... even in retail. As long as they have that good, you know, customer service, right? That's got to be important for us."

He is looking to fill dozens of entry-level positions, as well as more experienced positions, such as shift leaders, and general managers.

"We understand that people are out looking for a job and need to work," Morgan said. "And we need employees."

Another company looking to put you on a new career path is auto-retailer Carvana.

The online car buying and selling company is looking to fill roughly 200 positions in the Phoenix-area for their Customer Care Team.

Employees will work from home for now and benefits include health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

"We are very excited to let the community know that we are openly hiring in a wide variety of different positions," said Talent Acquisition Marketing Specialist Robin Ersland with HonorHealth.

They are looking to fill roughly 200 positions across the Valley with experienced healthcare professionals, as well as entry-level positions within their support services. That could be spots in food, security, administration, and more.

HonorHealth is hosting a virtual job fair on Wednesday, September 23 from 2 - 5 p.m. to help get a job-seeker connected to a new career.

"Our events are kind of set up more chat style with the recruiters," Ersland explained. "So, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions directly to our recruiters."
