TEMPE, AZ — Valley leaders and a behavioral health non-profit are teaming up for a virtual discussion about youth mental health.
Scottsdale-based group notMYkid, the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family, Tempe Coalition and City of Tempe are hosting the online Youth Mental Health event on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 2-3 p.m.
The discussion will include topics on supporting youth mental health, warning signs of struggle and mental health crises, and tips on how to guide children and teens through stress.
“COVID-19 has taken a toll on our children,” said Kristen Polin, CEO of notMYkid, in a press release. “We are very worried about the long-term effects on their mental health. Our community is coming together to let families know we have resources to help.”
