Another sizable earthquake has struck the Pacific Ocean on early Friday morning, this time off the coast of Vanuatu, a small group of islands west of Fiji and north of New Zealand.

A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck early Friday morning, causing tsunami fears in the region.

The National Weather Service said that a large tsunami is not expected to reach Hawai'i, and the only tsunami warnings issued were for the Vanuatu islands. A wave of up to 3 feet could hit the island nation.

Vanuatu islands have a population of 270,000 people. The islands are a popular tourist destination for Australians.

This quake is the fourth major quake to strike the Pacific Rim.
