PHOENIX- Phoenix Rising is back at Casino Arizona Field on Saturday to face Tacoma Defiance (formerly known as Seattle Sounders FC 2). The team returns to Arizona after two games in five days in Texas. The team won their first match of the season 2-0 vs. El Paso and dropped their last match vs. Austin 1-0 on Wednesday.
Currently, Phoenix Rising is sitting at 15th place in the USL Championship Western Conference after six games played and Tacoma is one spot below them in the rankings at 16, despite having played one more game. Despite being in 15th place, the team is only trailing three points behind fourth place.
Tacoma, though, has the worst goal differential in the Western Conference, with -15, while Phoenix Rising’s goal differential is at one.

Back at home and in front of fans desperate for three points, there’s little doubt the team will try to get back on their feet and attempt to exploit a Tacoma defense that has given up nine goals in their last two matches but has only managed to put 21 shots on target in seven matches this season.
