The before photo. Pale yellow walls, patterned curtains, yellow comforter. It was crying out for a makeover!
The dresser was originally this dark, red wood. It had plenty of character, but needed a little face lift!
We started with the walls. The new paint is a pale blue-gray color that immediately made the room brighter and more inviting.
The new look! We took down the patterened curtains and used navy with white lace curtains underneath. We also added a small collage with different size frames. Also, a brass plated clock for the small space between the window and closet.
We gave the dresser a completely different look with gold chalk paint and distressing, then added some decor to sit on top.
All of these decorations were purchased at Ikea.
The night stands are great for small spaces. They affix to the wall and take up very little room, but hold the necessities.
The final result! We switched out the bed with a basic frame and used wall art in place of a headboard. The entire cost minus the wall paint: $316.60! You can find out more here!
