A consumer watchdog is asking Microsoft to consider compensating Window 10 users for software issues associated with the program.

Consumer watchdog Which? reported more than 1,000 complaints about Microsoft 10, which was released in 2015.

The problems include printer issues, wi-fi cards and speaker problems among other issues. United Kingdom-based Which? reported some issues that were so great that a person needed to pay someone to fix a computer impacted by Microsoft 10.

Microsoft has offered support via its website but the problems have caused confusion for customers who might think that the problem is the computer itself and so Which? reports some customers have gone straight to the manufacturer or tried to fix the problem themselves.

Microsoft has installed Windows 10 on 350 million devices, according to Yahoo.

“The Windows 10 upgrade is a choice designed to help people take advantage of the most secure, and most productive Windows," a Microsoft spokeman told Yahoo. “Customers have distinct options. Should a customer need help with the upgrade experience, we have numerous options including free customer support.”
