According to Huffington Post, an animal shelter in Fort Worth, Texas found 310 pets homes on July 23.
To thank everyone involved, the shelter posted a powerful photo. It’s simple, but moving. The senior animal control officer for Forth Worth is standing in the middle of a room full of empty cages. She’s holding a sign that says “Thank You.” The message is short and sweet, but oh so powerful.
The publication reports that the shelter is typically able to find 18 to 20 pets homes in a day, so what made July 23 so special? Well, a movement called “Clear The Shelters” is to thank for the huge rally of people ready to adopt. It was organized by NBC and Telemundo and helped 700 shelters across the country pair pets with owners.
