Kenny Harmon, the grandpa who became an Internet celebrity after a photo of him eating a hamburger with one of his grandchildren went viral, is grilling burgers again -- but this time everyone is invited.

Harmon, or "Papaw" as his grandchildren call him, came up with the cookout idea, according to his grandson Brock Harmon. But Papaw didn’t just want to invite his family -- he extended the invitation to everyone.

“None of us thought he was serious,” Brock Harmon, 20, told ABC News. “And then he was like ‘Let’s do it.’”

Brock Harmon announced the event, which is happening on Saturday, on Twitter last Friday night. The invite has been re-tweeted more than 6,000 times and people from all over the nation have written that they want to come to the cookout in Purcell, Oklahoma.

Besides Papaw cooking up burgers for strangers (each burger costs $2), there will also be T-shirts and hats for sale that say “I ate a burger with sad Papaw.”

Brock Harmon explained that the money will go toward paying for the cookout and the T-shirt orders. Whatever cash is left over will be given to Papaw.

“The main reason for the cookout is that we just want everybody who still has their grandparents around to make an effort to reach out to them tell them you love them, or take them out eat,” Brock Harmon said.

All of the grandchildren will all be at the cookout, except for Kelsey Harmon – the grandchild whose tweet first made the world send their love to Papaw – who will be playing at her college softball game for Northeastern State University.
