PHOENIX — As the Salt River Project continues its Southside Dry-Up through Dec. 20, crews are taking advantage of the drained canals to do work most of us never see.
ABC15 got a behind-the-scenes look at the meticulous, muddy, and important process.
The canals move the water that keeps the Valley running, and SRP says the work is becoming more difficult because of dumping.
In the video player above, watch as ABC15 digs into whether the problem is getting worse, what crews are seeing during this year’s dry-up, and what can prevent the problem from getting out of hand.
