PHOENIX — Phoenix fire crews say a man and a woman were taken to a hospital after being struck by a car Friday night.
Officials say it happened near Interstate 17 and Dunlap Avenue.
Both pedestrians suffered serious injuries.
Phoenix police say a witness originally reported that the driver had left the scene of the crash. Officers responded to the area and were able to later locate the driver.
Officials say impairment is believed to be a factor in this crash as it relates to the driver.
It is unclear where the pedestrians were crossing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
