PHOENIX — A 1-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car near 48th Street and Broadway Road Sunday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened near a townhome complex in the area just after 3 p.m.
Officials say the incident happened when a family member of the boy had moved the vehicle after arriving from an errand. The family member told police they had previously seen the boy inside the residence before moving the vehicle.
Family members and police officers provided medical aid to the boy before he was rushed to the hospital where he died.
