PHOENIX — Boys and Girls Clubs are offering summer programs starting Monday and you still have time time to sign up at one of their 20 locations across the valley.
The clubs have put new protocols in place. They're doing temperature checks before kids and staff enter the building. They're also limiting how many kids can be in a room at a time.
"We're not going to have a wait list, we're not turning anybody away and we're willing to help families," Johana Lopez, with Boys and Girls Club, said.
"We know due to the situation we've been facing a lot of kids are pent up, they haven't been at school, they need that additional outlet."
For most clubs, the cost is $60 a week. That includes breakfast and lunch that will be provided. They say right now field trips are on hold.
