4. Prescott National Forest; on-call wildland firefighters
The Prescott National Forest is looking for career-focused women to be on-call wildland firefighters for the 2019 fire season. Chosen applicants will, “provide support to wildland fire operations over the summer and can help pave the way for future employment and career advancement with the Forest Service.” Upon completion of training and orientation, participants will be eligible to apply for temporary positions as wildland firefighters. Vet Sec, a security provider for a major Arizona utility provider, is hiring for 300 security guards. Job seekers must have a vehicle, current driver license, and a Guard Card which are issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
