Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers has requested additional emergency assistance from three other states, amid ongoing unrest in Kenosha.

Evers requested additional National Guard troops, equipment and resources from Arizona, Michigan and Alabama under the Emergency Management Assistance Compact.

Unrest has continued for several days in Kenosha following the police shooting of Jacob Blake on Aug. 23.

The National Guard troops from other states will "support civil authorities" already on the ground in Kenosha.
It was unclear how many more troops will be coming to Kenosha.

On Wednesday, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said thousands of National Guard troops were on their way to Kenosha.
