Arizona is looking to give away $1.5 billion.

It's money that doesn't belong to the state -- it could belong to you. It's unclaimed money that came from forgotten bank accounts, old refunds, safe deposit boxes that you or a family member may have not used for years.

All of that is turned over to the Arizona Department of Revenue.

The Department's Ed Greenberg says it's their job to make sure you get your money, so the Department gave us the names of 10 families who definitely have money waiting to claim.

Here they are with their last known city of residence:

MARCY THORNBRUGH, PHOENIX

JOHN T. QUIMBY, PHOENIX

BETTE J. BROWN, PHOENIX

ALEX F. AND THERESA A. KELLERMAN, TEMPE

RICHARD HANCOCK, SCOTTSDALE

MINNA T. MOLENRICH, PHOENIX

MINA FLEISCHAUER, PHOENIX

JOHNNY Q. MONTELONGO, PHOENIX

MARTIN MANNIX, PEORIA

CECIL J. HERNANDEZ, SCOTTSDALE

If you know the person, pass it on.

If you are a family member, and this person has passed away, you can file a claim.

Click hereto file a claim and to know if you are on the unclaimed money list.
